Obituary for Wendy Weller Myers (Weller)

Wendy Weller Myers, 41, of Penfield, NY, formerly of Auburn, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
Wendy was an Auburn native, the daughter of Regina Monahan Weller, and the late William J. Weller. She was a graduate of Auburn High School. Swimming was her passion. She competed on the High School Team, and also on the YMCA swim team, since she was ten years old. She competed on the State and National Levels, winning many awards.
Wendy worked for many years as a director for the YMCA Before and After School Program at Seward Elementary School. She loved all her “kids” at Seward.
Besides her mother, Wendy is survived by her sister Meghan Hutchings (Chad), her brother Scott Weller, and the little loves of her life nephews William and Jack Weller. Also surviving is her loving partner Herbie Church, their fur baby Rosie, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father William J. Weller and her special uncle T. Damian Monahan.
Wendy was a loving and caring person who always had a bright beautiful smile for everyone she met. She had a kind loving heart, and was a registered organ donor, so her heart is beating now in someone else’s chest.
Wendy’s Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 13th in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn.
